Okay, as an aspiring Barney Stinson I will give you these:
Before I begin, I need to tell you that anything you wear needs to follow the #1 rule of dressing:
Your clothes should complement you, not you - your clothes.
Now, on with the rest of the rules that will pop into my mind, there are 59 of them:
Before I begin, I need to tell you that anything you wear needs to follow the #1 rule of dressing:
Your clothes should complement you, not you - your clothes.
Now, on with the rest of the rules that will pop into my mind, there are 59 of them:
-
NEVER tuck in your T-shirt
Start getting rid of all shirts with text on them...besides this one, this one is awesome.
Your initials sewn into your suits/ties/shirts etc. - not cool
Do not wear suits with wide pinstripes
Do not wear plaid suits unless you're a fashion designer and/or know what you're doing.-

Do not wear your phone attached to belt. -

As a matter of fact, try to ditch as many items as possible that you carry, including a bulging wallet (subside it for a money clip), a humongous phone case, giant pack of keys etc. -

Do not wear sunglasses indoors (unless you're pitbull)
Never wear socks with sandals. Some fashion designers are literally serial killers.
Never wear white socks-

Do not wear NB and Nike sneakers anywhere but the gym -

Do not walk around with your pants down - y'all who do that are a disgrace to men everywhere. -

Never wear this or that piece of clothing because "but Kardashian wears them!", trust me, some of these folks have no a clue how to dress. -

Stop using AXE... now! -

Keep your collar stays and use them -

Always press your shirts -

Always match your shoes with your belt. Exceptions are for pros. -

Do not wear two of the same colors in two even slightly different shades -

Glasses literally shape your face, it's worth going to a stylist to figure out what shape suits you - and stick with it. -
Yes, most guys look better in a beard and glasses. Beard and glasses to men are like makeup to women. -

Get rid of that uni-brow - Shave your neck
-

Know the difference between party, casual and special event dress -

Make sure to go to a professional barber at least once, to find out which haircut and beard or not best suit you, unlike Jong Un.... -

Limit bracelets to 2-3, if done right they can look very classy -

Headphones and pretty much and electronic accessory are NOT fashion accessories. (ex. Google Glass [as of its design in March 2014] is for hippies, Moto360 is for classy pps)
