What is the best way to unhook a bra with one hand?

First, next time your girlfriend is in the shower, take a look at the back of the bra band. There will be a metal hook on one side, and then on the other side a set of metal loops. The hooks fasten into the hoops. 

Note that if the band is wider than about an inch, there will be two or even three sets of hooks and loops. 

Now, opening singlehanded, assuming you are standing in front of your GF: the key is to reach back with your right hand and grasp the left band (which is on her right). Now while holding the band in your right fingers, use your right thumb to slide the other half of the band (your right, her left) to the left. 

This will pop the hooks out of the loops, and Away Yo Go!

There are a few other fastener types, but once you get the hang if it you'll be fine. 

PS: speaking from experience here, unless you want to be pretty embarrassed, check first to make sure it's not a front-clasp bra. :-)
